I just really dislike pay-as-you-go things. There's enough companies diving into my pockets every month (cable, Internet, phone, mobile phone, car insurance, house insurance, rent, car financing, gas, electricity, water, sewer...) Oh and of course all these things go up, never down.
Also I really wouldn't want to depend in the Internet for 100% of the device's functionality. It's fairly reliable but every once in a while...
