Having this kind of control was never the intent of the original plugin, though I had considered this, since it would be an obvious request. I my mind, it seemed easiest to accept a listref as an input, such as a playlist or search results. This way, existing code, UI and structure is re-used to create the same end results. This will allow the focus to remain on the Search function for creating better control over selections.
A random play item in browse lists might not be too hard too. We'll have to see how the integration turns out :)
