As Mnyb said, note that the WRT54GL is the model that supports 3rd
party firmware. The current WRT54G models do not.

Do some googling and you'll find plenty of info on Tomato and dd-wrt.
But even with the stock firmware the WRT54GL is a very good router. I
don't know if any of the newer Linksys models support 3rd party
firmware, or for that matter, how good they are.
