Recently I have noticed a problem playing back my .flac files through any of my Squeezebox devices (2 SB3 and 1 Duet). During playback of a song, I hear an audible loud "scratching" sound or a song will stop. The noise or stopping will happen always on the same songs. I can skip to another song on the same album or playlist.
All of my devices are wireless and my music server is running XP. All of my songs are .flac and kept on the XP machine. I use EAC to RIP songs and WinAmp to create my playlists. Lately I HAVE noticed that the CD burner I use is giving me "timing problems" when I rip. At first I thought that these timing problems were giving me the playback errors, BUT, when I play the same songs through WinAMP (on the music server computer)that are stopping or making noise through the SB system, the songs play all of the way through with no problems at all - no skipping or noise. This is a weird problem and I am perplexed.
