I've just got hold of an iphone in the last couple of days and initial impressions are good. It's a very nice piece of kit, if not the life-changing experience some of the acolytes would have you believe.
iPeng works very nicely, and the email / web browsing / phone functions are all pretty good. Maps is great, and the last.fm / facebook apps are pretty slick (if that's your thing). I've set up a separate library for iTunes to use and I have to say, having only used iTunes briefly before, that it is a horribly confusing and non-intuitive piece of software. Maybe it's just familiarity and it'll grow on me, but I've found it very awkward to use - I would have expected it to be as simple as pointing it to a directory and letting it go - it wasn't. I think I've got it working now but we'll see. Luckily, the MP3 function was pretty much the last thing I bought the iPhone for... So yeah, all in all I'd have to say go for it. -- jeebers www.last.fm/user/gbennett115 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jeebers's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=65750 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
