Hopefully this helps. I opened the document created by the beta c version of AAC on another computer in Firefox and viewed it in File/Print/Print Preview. Does the image below help to explain anything?
I have to say that I don't care about print. I have no need to print to paper or pdf (if the original html output displays fine).
