Although the install instructions look daunting, with a bit of patience, you can easily set up the Duet Receiver without the need for a £130 controller) 1) Forget downloading PERL & the script - Use peter's link -: http://slim2lirc.myown.mailcan.com/udap_shell_1_0_0.exe 2) Read the pre-requisites http://projects.robinbowes.com/Net-UDAP/trac/wiki/GettingStarted 3) Run the program d/l in Step 1 4) Type "list" (in command box) 5) Type "configure 1" 6) Type "list" 7) Type the command to configure the duet to suit your router setup example "set interface=0 wireless_mode=0 wireless_region_id=14 wireless_SSID=MySSID wireless_wep_on=1 wireless_keylen=0 wireless_wep_key_0=1a2b3c4d5e lan_ip_mode=1 squeezecenter_address=192.168.1.150" Interface=0 is Wireless, 1 = Wired Wireless Region=14 (Europe) (USA=1) SSID= The name of your wireless network Wireless Wep on = 1 (means your using a password on your wireless network) Wireless_wep_key = You wireless network password in ASII (Letters) set interface=0 wireless_mode=0 wireless_region_id=14 wireless_SSID=MySSID wireless_wep_on=1 wireless_keylen=0 wireless_wep_key_0=1a2b3c4d5e lan_ip_mode=1 squeezecenter_address=192.168.1.150 or whatever IP address you want for the squeezecentre to display on your PC/Iphone/PDA Couple of notes -: If you wireless password is displayed as hex, use this link to convert http://www.dolcevie.com/js/converter.html If your using WPA-PSK(TKIP) security use WPA 1 example eg "set wireless_SSID=MySSID wireless_mode=0 wireless_region_id=14 wireless_wpa_on=1 wireless_wpa_mode=1 wireless_wpa_psk="Top Secret!"
