I'm anxious to hear what feedback comes from the "early adopters" of the Touch product. My impressions from what I've seen of the specs, is that this product will be more of a "SB3+" than a preferred controller. First, native 24bit/96kHz support. Next, color display which can provide a nice "Now Playing" display complete with cover art. I've seen several threads in the past on this forum asking for these capabilities. Having the touch screen seems like more a "nice to have" feature, that is, I can walk up to the device and control it, if that's most convenient - such as when I can't seem to locate my remote, and my controller is at the other end of the house ;-) In addition, the color screen allows it to double as a digital picture frame (if desired). I could see this device taking the place of my SB3 on my living room side-table. I don't know about the practicality of playing music from a memory card, or about the rumored ability of this product to be a slimmed-down squeezecenter server... don't know if these are parts of the actual feature set, or just hopes/wishes/guesses of those on the forums anxiously waiting to see what this thing really is! -- tcutting ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tcutting's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17402 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64706 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
