Squeeze center has a setting for the "small word" sorting. I don't remeber if's defaulted to ignore "The" when sorting.
You can have it either way and even fill up with other words you want to exlude The, Los .. and whatnot . Also check artist sort tags , you can affect sorting by the tags.
