It is with great sadness that I post that Jim Thiel has lost his battle against cancer.
Jim Thiel of Thiel Audio was a man those main passion was advancing the state of art in loudspeaker design that was elegant as well as affordable while still pushing to meet his goal of the most life like audio reproduction possible. I am better for having known him, using his creations, and having spirited audio discussions. I first meet Jim almost 30 years ago when Kathy and he visited the the high end audio shop I repaired gear for. I enjoyed his passion for speakers and began selling them after buying my first pair. Jim will be missed and I for one am glad he was able to see his final design with the Thiel CS 3.7 have such seccess and recieve the awards and reviews it and he deserve. -- iPhone *iPhone* Media Room: Transporter, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, Ayre MX-R Mono's, VeraStarr 6.4SE 6-channel Amp, Vandersteen Speakers: Quatro Mains, VCC-5 Reference Center, four VSM-1 Signatures, Video: Runco RS 900 CineWide AutoScope 2.35:1 Living Room: Duet, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1 Kitchen: Squeezebox BOOM Bedroom: Second Boom Bathroom: Squeezebox Radio Ford Thunderbird: Duet, Mac Mini Ford Expedition: SB Touch, USB drive ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68316 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
