A manual probably would be a good idea, but I don't think I've ever seen a manual for slimserver, SqueezeCenter, or Squeezebox Server (the 3 generations of the server software, or at least the 3 names). For settings, there is a lot of good info in the "help tips" that you get if you hover over (or click, I don't remember) the little "i" icons on the Settings pages. Then there's the wiki and the forums. And there are various user-written web pages, blogs, and so forth.
