There are ways to do this - search for the WaveInput plugin for Windows and Linux for example which is squeezebox specific. You can also use Icecast to create a stream which the Squeezebox can tune into.
However, streaming this way will alway introduce a networking delay so it is usually not practical to use to watch DVD as audio will be out of sync with video. If you have a Boom, you could use the "Line-in" port to play audio from the PC speakers.
