That whole thread seems just the normal collection of disinformation. 1. You can still buy the transporter, not only at slimdevices, but at all logitech stores and dealers. 2. The not supported bit: I don't even know what they mean. The server software for the transporter is the same as for other devices. And if your hardware fails, you can have it repaired.
Does it mean the transporter will stay forever? Of course not, but for the time being it's there. And I don't worry a minute about support.
