You might want to take a look at how mono switches on passive preamps are usually implemented :-) ... or even on some active ones for that matter... I've yet to come across any unbalanced (rca/phono) gear that couldn't handle having its inputs summed to mono by a direct l/r connection (which is exactly what the y-connector does). -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
