Assuming that the server and your netbook are on the same LAN (ie, by "remote" you don't mean from a different LAN via the internet) it's simple: point the netbook's browser to http://<serverip>:9000/, where <serverip> is the local IP address of the Sony laptop. As the Sony doesn't have a static IP address the <serverip> will be a moving target.
If that doesn't work then you'll have to open some ports on your firewall.
