SlimServer uses QuickTime to play back all AAC files by default. Can this file be played back on another computer using, for example, QuickTime player?

I purchased a few audiobooks for iTunes for a trip i am taking. I wanted
to listen to a bit of one of the books and added it to my audio
collection. When I navigate to the first of the 6 files that make up
the whole book, slimserver just runs through the files and plays
nothing. I did remove the DRM and they do play fine under winamp.

Does slimserver have a problem with low bitrate aac audiobook files
from iTunes?
