Guys, I plan on ripping my CD library soon but I have had to rip CD's down until now.
First of all, does it matter what software I use to perform the transfer. I have media monkey and just tried one CD to FLAC and it went very well. THe only issue I see is that the CD once ripped is 589MB which is larger than I expected. MM did ask me to choose my compression ratio and I selected the least amount to maintain the best sound quality. If I rip every CD in my library I am going to need a lot of space. Did I choose the correct compression ratio? Will MM do an ok job of ripping the CD's?
