I swapped the IP addresses and it made no difference. The good boom (now on 192.168.1.7) still works and the broken one (now on 192.168.1.10) still doesn't.
Any other ideas? BTW, I spent 1 hour onto logitech support and they couldn't fix it. They tried everything I had tried (factory reset, using SBS 7.4.1, exception on the firewall, turning off virus protection etc) and concluded it's knackered. One weird thing is I get an IP address assigned but then can't connect to the server. I would have thought if there was a fault on the Ethernet MAC for it not to even get an IP address...
