Hi Sebastian, I'm really enjoying getting to know Slim Control. I really like the keyboard filter - it provides lots of flexibility. A couple of minor usability issues I've noticed:
1. The scrolling artist + track title under the cover on the main display truncates some of my longer track titles. It would be great if this could accept any length title. Alternatively increasing the field size (doubling it?) would be OK. Some classical track titles are very long. (e.g. Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 2 in B flat "Lobgesang" - 2.1 All men, all things, all that have life and breath) 2. If I use the keyboard to filter a list of artists, select an artist to review their albums, then return to the artists list the filter has been cleared. It would be more useful to me if the filter stayed set when I return to the artists list. That way I can check the albums for all the artists the filter has selected. 3. In the playlist screen, track names are truncated if they are too long for the line length. Many classical tracks then appear identical (see above example under 1). In other displays you handle this elegantly by providing a scrolling version of the selected item at the top of the display. Here you show a scrolling version of the currently playing track name, which is great, but doesn't help when I want to select another track. Could you word wrap the track title (and artists too, I guess)and let the selection box expand to suit? Alternatively, a scrolling version of the selected track would allow confirmation that the selected track is correct before moving to it. Just some thoughts for your consideration.
