Now where was that all gold Marantz amp I have in my attic?? I'm sure at one time I thought you were crazy if you didn't go all gold. I don't like that the platinum says "Look at me!" instead of just blending in. I find that to be too distracting, even behind some smoked glass... But, like you said Pat, YMMV.
