Yes, you can and should.

Ideally WPA2/AES.  If that isn't doable for some reason and WPA/AES is,
try that.  (WPA/AES is 'optional' according to the WPA standard, so it
may not be supported by some devices.)

TKIP has been broken, and is almost as bad as WEP in security.
