No you are right. That is exactly what I do. I run Server Power Control plugin to put the server to sleep after inactivity. But the Mac Mini is dedicated to Squeeze.
The problem many people seem to have is using a Mac for combined Squeeze and desktop issues (with active sleep settings), because Squeeze activity does not prevent normal Mac Sleep actions.
