If you've got the FLAC encoder, it came with a utility program called "mataflac". Ralphy was giving you the command line to get him the information he needed to find out what the problem might have been. "filename.flac" is the name of the flac file you're having trouble with - you can have a complete path here, but if it has any embedded spaces it needs to be surrounded with quotes.
