My Squeezebox Classic has now taken up permanent residence in my living room since I got a Squeezebox Radio for the bedroom and kitchen. I'm looking at getting a Blu-ray player, and one of the models I'm considering is the Sony BDP-N460. This model does not have built-in WiFi, but Sony recommends using it with the Linksys WET610N Wireless N Ethernet Bridge.
Would there be any problem with me using my Squeezebox Classic as a wireless bridge with this player? The Squeezebox is a wireless-G device, while the recommended bridge is a wireless-N device. My router is a wireless-N Linksys model. I want the internet connectivity primarily for use with Netflix and Amazon Video on Demand. Would using a wireless-G bridge (instead of wireless-N) have any negative effect on streaming video/audio? I'm not well-versed on this topic. Any help (as well as any thoughts on the Blu-ray player) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -- boolittlek ------------------------------------------------------------------------ boolittlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23650 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73181 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
