It works with an Ethernet crossover cable, but I can't get them to find
each other or connect via wireless!
Any ideas?
I assume you're using Windows XP, have installed SP2 and therefore the
firewall up and blocking. Please read the FAQ about how to set up the
firewall for use with SlimServer:

I may be completely wrong. But you didn't give any information about your
system. So I'm only guessing.
