I simply installed over my 7.3 version. But after installed, I did do a complete rescan of my music library (I don't think this is neccesary, but I tinker with tags and such and do this every so often anyhow). And I recall I had a couple of old plugins that I needed to update to newer versions. You'll do this on the plugin page of the SbS setting interface.
