The problem with Simplify is that is down rezes flac to below 200 kbps, otherwise it's not a bad solution -- though of course it's outside the Slim eco-system. (This downrezzing isn't just for the iphone client. Same thing happens on the desktop.) I'm real tempted to open up port 9000 on my router and connect remotely that way, using the SC password. Yes, I understand it's not particularly secure BUT if it gets compromised, what's the damage potential? Someone else listening to my music collection? Or?
