Totally agree about the statement about the NAS 'obsession'. It's a nice idea but surely a pain in the arse to actually get and keep working well.
Regarding these other solutions - I don't see any of them having a ghettoblaster form factor, which is surely a huge part of the Squeezebox appeal.
