209 has a ARM processor and the 209j, 209+ and 209+ II all have PPC of various speeds. Either of those can handle AAC decoding but if processor power is an issue disable encoding into Flac or MP3. However, some users indciate that a 209+ II has a 1.2GHz PPC processor.
