Ah! ok! On Windows this is the System Tray Icon. In 7.4 the default behaviour changed to open the Control Panel as opposed to the web interface.
After much debate, in 7.5 this will still be the default behaviour to begin with, but after that you can change it to open the web interface instead of the Control Panel.
