If you want to try something more complex you can ripp for example DTS
CD as it where an "normal CD" the resulting PCM as WAV or FLAC (this
must be lossles)file is then sent to your squeezebox , the squeezebox
thinks this is stereo so don't use the analog out if this "PCM" is send
trough the digital out it will then be recieved as DTS or DD by the home
cinema reciever.
Note that  volume must be 100% and replay gain can not be used, as this
would break the encoding.
