Kevin, thanks for that link. I've had a quick look through the posts,
but I'm a bit worried that I'll brick the router if I tried it. And my
intention, should another brand of router prove it is the Belkin (and
some of the posts in your link seem to imply that 'certain' Belkin
Pre-N's are dropping wireless comms every now and then), is to offload
it on eBay. I know I'll make a loss doing so, but if the SB2/Slimserver
starts running reliably then I won't be too bothered.

By the way it is set for a fixed channel [I'm sure someone asked me
this in a previous post.]

I'll post back in about two weeks regarding my findings...
