Hi,
I'm travelling, using Softsqueeze with the Java MP3 plugin on KDE 3.4
(Mandriva LE 2005). It works fine, but takes over the sound hardware
directly so that artsd-brokered sounds can't get to it (causing them to
pile up and come crashing through when I quit listening to music).
Ah, seems that this is an FAQ, and the Java people are waiting for
things to be different. Write once, run anywhere, indeed.
