My guess is that there are some transcoding done by the server. Are you sure this is not the case? I have found that transcoding can get short gaps. Check the convert.conf file and check what the SB says under more info under now playing regarding the bitrate and file type.
Also try to play the FLAC:s in Winamp, they should come out gapless. If you have gaps there, the error is in your FLACs already...
