Yes but it's got a few gotchas:
1. Don't use playlists in folders with tracks
2. Don't use nested folders (with tracks).
3. even though you browse by folder you should still run regular scans
before browsing the folder
4. Some releases of Squeezebox Server are a bit buggy WRT folders.

iPeng will always show all your tracks but it will handle folders like
albums if you respect #1 and #2, that is, you can e.g. play the whole
folder from track x by tapping track x and things like that. This does
not work with nesting, that is, if the folder we talk about contains
subfolders or playlists.

#3: There's a bug in SBS 7.4 and 7.5 (not in 7.6 beta) that generates
faulty artwork for tracks and albums if you scan a folder by browsing
it instead of doing a regular rescan. The biggest issue is that these
faulty artworks get cached so you have to do a clear and rescan to get
rid of them.

#4: Some versions (don't know which ones) of the server count other,
not shown files in the folders (e.g. PDFs) so it can happen that if you
tap track x the folder will play from track y instead.

Apart from that: Context menu information (e.g. Artist info or Album
info) is not available from folders so you will not have these
additional options in the folder context menu. They are still available
for the track but a folder for SBS and iPeng is a folder, not an album
or an artists.
