There's nothing bizarre about the IP address.  The 169.254/16 address
range is used for automatic configurations when a static IP is not
configured and a DHCP server is not found.

Your SB2 is simply not receiving its DHCP allocated address, for some
unknown (as of yet) reason.

Use a static IP setup briefly with your wireless config, to ensure that
your SB2 is communicating with the server.  Once you have that working,
go back to DHCP.
