Problem solved!  It turns out my router had gotten into a weird state where it was broadcasting on two channels at once.  As a result, devices that had already connected were working fine, but new devices couldn't connect.  After doing a hard reset on the router and reconfiguring, the SB2 connected just fine.  Thanks everyone for your help!  I don't need to tell you how incredible it sounds, and how fantastic it is to be able to play my mp3s/flacs over a decent stereo....
