Greetings I currently have a Duet with an additional receiver and I love them both. I will be going to the beach for a couple of weeks and would like to bring my music collection along. I plan to bring my Macbook Pro (OS 10.6.3) with my 500GB+ music collection on an external esata hard drive. I also have an Apple HiFi that has 1/8" input that I could use as speakers. I could just play my music from iTunes on my Mac and take the audio out from the Mac into the Apple Hifi and be done with it. I will not have wifi access at this beach house
My questions are: 1. Would bringing my Duet make any sense for this setup? I could plug my Mac into the Duet via an ethernet cabe...(I wont have wifi) and plug the Duet into the Apple HiFi. 2. What are some good Portable powered speakers I could buy for this and future situations that are better than the Apple WiFi? I'm also not against buying a Touch and putting it into the mix. :-) Thanks for any suggestions.
