I've mostly heard bad things about wireless speakers in general: susceptible to static, interference from other wireless devices like cordless phones, baby monitors, etc. There may be good wireless speakers out there, but there are a lot of bad ones.
I recently got a pair of passive Polk Atrium 45 speakers for my deck. I connect them with outdoor-grade, direct-burial rated speaker cable that runs back into my basement, where I have an AudioSource AMP100 and SBR.
