Finally I got excellent XLR cables to connect my beloved Transporter to my power amps directly avoiding a preamp. My system clearly performed better now. It was when I activated the digital input to play a CD that I nearly blew my speakers!! There was no reaction to volume adjustment at all, just full volume. What am I doing wrong? I remember having had a similar setup years ago (worse cables though)with no problems on the inputs.
