Much as I love my SB2 (indeed I like it so much that - like WSLam - I sold my high-end CD player), it isn't necessarily the only place I might want to play my music.
DRM is by its very nature an insidious, evil, controlling technology. The overt reason for it is to prevent piracy. But the hidden agenda is to deliver music that can only be played on "authorised" hardware. And the end result will be that you'll be forced to buy a particular replay device if you want to hear a specific piece of music. And when there are multiple different DRM mechanisms around, that's multiple pieces of "authorised" hardware required if you don't want your listening choices limited. We all need to resist DRM. -- cliveb _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
