For day to day operation I set my SB3 and Boom to Idle = Dark, the screen comes alive again with any IR input. The added advantage to Idle = Dark on the Boom is that this also makes the large knob = volume. How & why I dunno, but it works. I've always hesitated to mention this for fear they might "fix" this as a bug. ;)
