What do you mean by "multi-capable remote devices"? Multi-touch?
What kind of phone do you have? As already mentioned, there are great solutions for iPhone and Android. Personally, I would lean against the N800. I like the device, but it just doesn't seem to have much inertia behind it - either from the standpoint of SbS skin development and maintenance or the N800 platform in general.
