Not only wifi phones, but also non-phone devices like the iPod Touch. I
think that Logitech would have a hard time coming (late) to market with
a single-purpose device that would likely cost more than multipurpose
devices. Look at the cost of the Harmony remotes, which have the
touchscreen but don't do wifi. I haven't been following the Logitech
Revue developments, but even that new remote (Harmony Link) seems
IR-based rather than wifi. The blog post by a Logitech VP saying -"If
you have a device that uses a remote control, chances are that it uses
IR."- also makes me think Logi's not going to be pushing new wifi
remotes soon, touchscreen or otherwise. (see

A little further from "home", not long ago Sonos introduced a
single-purpose remote that fits your description and also released a
free iPhone app. I'd love to know which of those is more popular among
Sonos users.
