I guess I'm biased, but I consider SqeezePad a full-grown product that
can easily replace a SqueezeBox Controller.

Its difficult to say if its serious competition to iPengOniPad:
- noone knows the plans of pippin
- noone knows when it will be finished
- noone knows what other features SqueezePad will have, when the
competition finally starts - so comparing todays SqueezePad with
tomorrows iPengOniPad wouldn't be very fair right now :)
- for every user different things are important.

If the positive comments on this thread are not enough here some of the
