I thought that the Squeezebox came quite well out of the feature. A 2 minute piece on primetime TV covering 4 different products for streaming music is not going to provide a detailed analysis of any of them, but from the perspective of the general public, I would think Squeezebox had the least worst of the disadvantages given for each product (iTrip : illegal in UK, Airport Express : need to go back to computer to change tracks, Squeezebox : doesn't play tracks with iTunes DRM, Sonos : v. expensive)
OK, they didn't mention that Sonos doesn't play iTunes tracks with DRM either but I think the price quoted for Sonos (starting at GBP1400 for 3 rooms...) would be enough to put off the average viewer - particularly when they would be more likely to earmark the family budget for the HDTV kit shown on the first feature in the program... The viewing figures for the show should be on www.barb.co.uk in a couple of weeks. -- mikerob _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
