the computer has to be wired to the router, the sb3 can be wireless. i have a dell laptop and when i got it, i could not get it to go to sleep or hibernate unattended. i tried EVERYTHING and the only thing that worked, was swapping out the hard drive. from that point on, it slept like a baby.
since SBS appears to be the only thing stopping your computer from sleeping, i wonder if a SB or SBC or SN or something is reaching SBS and waking the computer even as it attempts to get to sleep? try disconnecting the cable/dsl modem from the router, and turning off all slim hardware, and see if the problem persists. -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 & sbc (my home) / sbrec & ipeng (parent's home) - sbs 7.5.2b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - p4(ht) 3.2ghz, 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb2 raid1 - d-link dir-655 - 43k+ mp3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81704 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
