All of a sudden a lot of players are coming to market with TV connected
boxes which just so happen to also play music, so actually you don't
have to connect these boxes to a TV, just connect to your stereo
system.

Apple's AirPlay may be a game changer when it comes out in November.  A
$99. Apple TV (second generation) may have more functionality at
one-third the price of a squeezebox.  The updated "Remote" app for
iPod, iPhone and iPad will let you see all your music on that device
plus internet based music and stream it to your Apple TV with the
arrival of AirPlay.

I predict (we'll know next Wednesday) exactly what Logitech's Google TV
device can do.  I assume it will include among its features ALL of the
current squeezebox features plus the new video stuff too.  If it
doesn't, that may be the beginning of the end for squeezebox.

It's make or break time.
