Thanks Paul, but that thread only seems to concern itself with software. More than happy to try it out if I could find out the connections for an IR LED. Followed the link in the thread but there's nothing there either. Messing about a bit I found this page: http://www.lirc.org/transmitters.html Looks promising, but the SB2's headphone socket is 3 pin, which part of the TRS (tip, ring, sleave) is + and which - in the IR configuration? Also, in the link I quote there's a diagram showing a 500ohm resistor in parallel with 100-220nF capacitor, anyone know if these values are correct for the SB2? Finally, I'd like to build a kindof 'octopus' with a number of IR LEDs to place over various components, anyone know if the resistor/capacitor combo would be needed in that case? I'm guessing one could just place a number of LEDs in parallel so long as the resistor you place in series limits current sufficiently.
