For some reason after I rebooted after my initial install of SlimServer, the SlimServer wouldn't startup. So I reinstalled, and voila! all my playlists showed up.
Now getting back to how smart play lists (SPL) are... There are two things that make SPLs smart: 1. They dynamically update themselves with tunes that match the criteria set within them as new music is added. Genre=rock will always contain every song with genre=rock. I'm guessing SS has no problem with this as iTunes is providing the list of songs to play. 2. The second is that iTune SPL can track when songs are played so you can specify in an SPL to only play songs that have not been played in the last 2 weeks. For me, this is where I'm wondering if the iTunes SPL can detect that SS has played a particular song to update the SPL. -- Lumsmore _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
